Further Information About Accessibility

We at Signal have made a conscious effort to try and make our festival accessible to everyone. There are both online and in-person events, alongside accessible venues so that everyone can feel included and accommodated. Most events are happening in and around the town centre with public transport options to get you where you need to go. All events are either free or just £2.

Artsite Post Modern

Artsite, run by artists, provides 13 studio spaces for artists and craftspeople in the Cultural Quarter of Swindon’s town centre. The Post Modern is available to hire for events.

Swindon Arts Centre

The cultural hub of Swindon, the Swindon Arts Centre plays host to exhibitions, live music, theatre productions, film screenings and much more. It has a 212-seat theatre, a cafe/bar offering drinks and snacks and a courtyard area featuring the sculpture 'Applause'.

Swindon Hub

Swindon Hub, an accessible, friendly space run by the community, for the community. Come and visit the affordable cafe, relax in the snug, read and share books and browse items for sale from local retailers and upcycled furniture by Renew Men's Shed.

Central Library Swindon

Swindon Central Library has three floors of books - 77,000 of them in all - and a whole lot more besides. There's a stylish cafe on the ground floor, for a start, with furniture that seems to have been built specifically with the idea of winding down with a novel or a newspaper and a cup of coffee. It's open seven days a week.

Create Studios

A team of passionate filmmakers, digital creators, and storytellers who are dedicated to producing impactful productions through film, photography, and animation. Through partnerships, they provide an accessible and welcoming place to nurture new talent.

Museum and Art Swindon

Museum & Art Swindon (formerly Swindon Museum & Art Gallery) exists to help visitors and local communities discover its inspiring heritage and art collections. The Museum holds objects dating from prehistory to the present, including collections in archaeology, geology, palaeontology, natural history, botany, Egyptology, and social history.

Steam Museum

The museum is housed in a beautifully restored Grade II railway building in the heart of the former Swindon railway works. The Museum tells the story of the men and women who built, operated and travelled on the Great Western Railway
