Me Myself and I: Songwriting

Me Myself and I looks at songwriting and identity. It looks at how you can generate lyrics through image and imagination; it looks at how you can come up with chords without breaking a sweat and looks at ways you can create your own melody. No previous musical experience is required.

Find Your Clown - Circus Skills

Over the two hours we will explore 'clown', and all that entails. Asking questions like: what is a clown? and why is a clown? and even HOW is a clown?

(maybe not those last two)

We will look at the early incarnations of clown from commedia dell'arte through character archetypes that we will use to inform your personal idea of clown. We will also explore skills like fixed points and the beginnings of mime and how we might use that in a comedic setting. The goal is of this workshop is to give you the participants a few tools I've picked up as performer to empower you to make your own creative choices and play and have fun.

Any accessibility requirements please let me know, and please wear loose comfortable clothing that you can move freely in.

Fighting Every Instinct- Interactive Performance

Fighting Every Instinct is a 30-minute interactive movement-performance exploring how we occupy and share physical and emotional space. Through movement, lighting, masks, and audience interaction, the piece examines the how we experience social interaction and the transition between individual and group experience.

FEI focuses on nonverbal communication, repetition, and shared space, creating a participatory experience where the audience become active participants. Group collaboration & improvisation are encouraged to create a moment of shared expression.

FEI reflects on what it looks like to be separate and together, and what it feels like to either be outside of or involved in an activity. The performance invites audiences to consider which version of they prefer, and to think on how we communicate and collaborate.
